track championship

The track is already done. During this three days, i raced 300m time trial and the relay. For the first distance, i made one mistake in one corner and i pay it directly : no qualify for 0.03sec. After, i concentrated again on the relay with a better chance of medal. We passed the heats and semifinals well and we were like favourites. In final, we started first and stayed at this position till 3 laps to go. We lost the head at the baddest moment. In three laps, we were third and fourth and fifth and finally disqualified for a foul in the last corner. Now, concentration on the road with the 500m on wednesday and the marathon on friday.
For the French team, the track was good. We get 2 golds with Yann (10km points) and Alexis (15km élimination), 2 silvers with Nicolas (500m) and Alexis (1000m).
I hope it will continue like this on te road and to participate more at the collect of medals....
This three days were also interesting with new faces of skaters who are strong. First of them is the colombian Pedro Causil, still junior, he broke the 300m time trial senior world record in 24'53 (9'37 for first 100m). Next year, he will be senior and he will be a stronger sprinter. An other colombian, Andrez Felipe Munoz, who came back at worlds this year after winning in junior in 2004 and 2005, severals golds. He won the 500m meters. One of the big event of the track is also the absence of Joey Mantia. He didn't do well on 300m and was ill the second day. He didn't recover enough the third day and wasn't in shape Now we wait the road to see if it's coming back or not. For my part, i hope no...lol. One less one the 500m, it' always good.

Spain Anti-doping propagande

This is what we found with the french team yesterday close to the track. You can imagine what some people do this. It's about a story what happened two years ago in the spanish team during worlds. Lots of things (articles, photos in newspaper..) were following and some skaters are know not welcome in the team. I don't know who is right or wrong. I was not there so i can say nothing, and like i often say : i'm like Saint Thomas, i trust what i see"

Fighting wheels

For long years, we haven't seen this around the track at the world championship. There is a real war of the wheels. We can see 4 differents brands who are fighting to get "the power", even if Mater wheels is still in front when you look the skates. But we see always MPC wheels with a big part, Bont starting his free distribution to make a promotion and Atom who has Joey like leader.

For my part, i will skate in MPC wheels. I like this wheels, they have a good mix between grip and rolling for a kind of skater like me who is heavy and has power. On the pics, you can 5 different wheels : Bont (high left), Atom(high right), MPC black track(middle),MPC streetfight(low left), Matter (low right). You can imagine 3 or 4 kinds of wheels for each brand and imagine all the tests we need to do before worlds.

3 days to go

This is the last straight line before the championship. During few days, everybody was taking time, video...to analyze what did the others. I feel well, the training did good and the speed is here,i guess, i hope lol.
Now all the nations are here and the tension starts to be higher and higher. This is some videos to see a little bit how the track is fast. One of Joey Mantia and the other one from Felipe Munoz, both will play the gold at the world on thursday i think, even if they will not be alone for this first battle.
